"Bluey" Birthday Party
"Bluey" Birthday Party
This episode of Bluey is called "Birthday Party!"
Oh my goodness, this was the FUNNEST birthday theme ever!! My 4 year old absolutely LOVES Bluey, so of course we had to turn our dance modes on and celebrate him!
I created his birthday invitation using Canva. Seriously, you can make basically anything using Canva! I found the background image online and then downloaded a free "Bluey" font to use for the words. I think it turned out so cute!
Coming up with the food was so fun for me! Since I've seen all of the Bluey episodes about 37 times each, I just took common phrases and foods from the show to create our yummy spread. Plus, it was all food suitable for 4 year old's. They loved it! (I created the food tags using Canva, super easy and super cute).
I didn't set up decorations aside from the food/table area. I did have his birthday book out for everyone to sign! It's one of my favorite things that we do at every birthday party.
Ok, the games were a blast! We played freeze dance (using the song "Dance Mode"), keepy uppy (while listening to the song "Keepy Uppy"), pass the parcel (using the Bluey theme song), and obstacle course (while blasting the songs "Obstacle Course" and "Here Come The Grannies!").
My husband created this awesome obstacle course outside using every play item he could find. The kids kept lining up to do it over and over again! Keepy uppy lasted only a few minutes before the balloon got stuck in the tree and popped. Oh well! It was bound to happen. Pass the parcel went really well! We played the nice way, not Lucky's dad's way, where everyone gets a prize when the song stops on them. And freeze dance was hilarious! The kids had great dance moves!
It was absolute chaos throughout the whole party, but a fun, controlled chaos. That's what happens when you get like 13 kids together to party!
My husband and I make a great team when it comes to making these cakes. I bake them and he decorates! He did a great job making "Owen" out of fondant in the same font as "Bluey"! We got the Bluey toys off of Amazon and gave them to my son that morning as one of his presents.
Party favors are a must over here! It's just a simple way to say thank you to everyone who came to celebrate. I created the tags on Canva and then put them in a bag with a red balloon for the kids to play Keepy Uppy at home!
It was seriously such a fun party! We love Bluey!
