Oh man, both of my boys just love construction trucks! Anytime we drove anywhere my boys would point out all the construction trucks they saw, it was so cute! So when my oldest son turned three, we knew a construction party was the way to go.
I found this invitation online and edited it to fit our needs. Super cute, right?
These cute construction signs, orange cones, and construction hats are from Amazon and the caution tape is from Zurchers. My mom let us borrow her toy tool bench and wooden blocks. We were able to supply all the construction trucks ourselves haha!
I had a few games set up for the kids including playing with construction trucks and the tool bench, construction cone ring toss, pin the wheels on the construction trucks, and construction bingo. I had prizes from the dollar store for the winners. Quick, easy to understand games with guaranteed prizes is the way to go for any group of three-year-olds.
I had spent the few days before this birthday party out of town, so to simplify things for myself, we didn't serve a meal. We decided to just do cake and ice cream. Unfortunately, my amazing sister-in-law was out of the country and unable to create one of her amazing cakes. So! I got to make it all by myself! I made two chocolate cakes, dug out one of the sides, frosted it all, then covered it in crumbled Oreos to make it look like dirt. My son had these tiny little construction trucks that worked perfectly as cake toppers! I think it turned out pretty good! The kids loved being able to play with the trucks on their cake slices, it was super fun:)
I think party favors are so fun and a great way to say thank you to those who came and brought gifts. I bought some chocolate coins, put them in clear bags, and stapled a tag to each of them. Super simple, super cute! We had a great time celebrating!
