"Ninja" Birthday Party!

My 6 year old was a ninja for halloween. It was then that he decided he wanted to have a ninja themed birthday party when he turned 7. Surprisingly, he stuck to it 8 months! We had a great time with the theme and loved celebrating him with his school friends.

Canva for the win again with this super cute ninja birthday invitation! I used the artwork to create the other decorations I used like the book sign, the ninja certificates, ninja wisdom cards, and the food labels.

As each kid arrived, they were given a red ninja headband and a blow up katana to go play with while they waited for the other kids to arrive. It was a great way to keep them entertained while they waited for things to get going.

Also, my 7 year old totally wore his ninja costume the whole party. It was awesome.

The food was so much fun to prepare! We served California rolls, potstickers, fruit kabobs, veggies, and of course, cheese puffs. The kids even got to try out using chopsticks instead of forks!

After all the kids finished eating, we had them complete a few different ninja tasks.

They threw foam ninja stars through a hoop (Shuriken Strike), used chopsticks to pick up mini marshmallows one at a time (Chopstick Challenge), and practiced their sweet ninja moves by trying to pop the other kid's balloons tied to their ankles while protecting their own balloons (Samurai Showdown).

Once our ninjas had completed their challenges, we did presents and then some cake.

My husband and I made the cake!! We are super proud, and pretty surprised, at how well it turned out!

We asked all the kids to sign his birthday book and then each of them got to take a ton of fun things home! They got to take their red headbands, their blow up katanas, and then a party favor bag that included a ton of fun little ninja things that I got from my mom who teaches 1st grade. She didn't need it anymore and gave it all to us to use for the party! I'm pretty sure she got all of it on Amazon, so go check there if you want any of the party favor toys. Each kid also got a certificate stating that they had become real ninjas.

It was a super fun party! We loved celebrating our 7 year old and can't wait to see what comes next!
