Alright, I just need to preface this with saying that I have never been a huge Lord of the Rings fan....however...this baby shower was an absolute blast to put together! Seriously, it all turned out so cute, it's one of my favorites!
Two of my dear friends were having their first baby and the husband absolutely loves the Lord of Rings books/movies. I thought it would be fun if he felt part of the shower and all the baby things, so I decided to make it Lord of the Rings themed! I'm so glad I did! He had an absolute blast and I'm proud of how it all turned out:)
Etsy is my go-to for party invitations. This one was editable on Canva and was super easy to personalize. I had my friend make her baby registry a QR code so it was easier for people to find it.
I'm pretty sure that all of the decorations I found were from Etsy as well. My husband gave me a printer for Christmas and that has made my party planning so much easier! I printed everything off, cut it all out, and had it ready a few weeks in advance because I don't like to do things last minute.Â
We played a few baby shower games, nothing crazy or embarrassing, just simple and fun. I had people text me pictures of them as babies so I could print them out and play "Guess That Baby". This game was so fun! It was tricky because not everyone knew each other, but that made the guessing even more exciting. We also played "Mommy or Daddy" and passed around advice cards that the parents-to-be got to take home.
Before we get to the food, which was absolutely incredible, I need to talk about my little side hobby: crocheting! I've been doing it for almost ten years now which is crazy, but I seriously love it! To surprise my friends, I found the crochet patterns for Legolas and Gimli on Etsy, made these cute little guys, and used them as my diaper cake toppers! Aren't they so cute?! At the end of the night, my dear friends got to take the diapers, Legolas, and Gimli home:)
This food table was my favorite part of the whole party! I am so proud of how it turned out! I got the food tents from Etsy and ran with all the Lord of the Rings-themed foods. It brought lots of laughter and the food was delicious. It was such a fun baby shower! Enjoy all the pictures!
