"Three Rex" Birthday Party

Our little three rex had a roarin' good time at his dinosaur themed birthday party!

When our oldest son turned 4, we attempted to throw an "I'm 4! Hear Me Roar!" birthday party. However, both boys came down with Hand, Foot, and Mouth, so we had to cancel. Because of this, we had tons of left over dinosaur decorations. I saved 'em all because I knew our younger son would probably want a dinosaur party of his own someday.

Because I use Canva so frequently, I was able to get a free 30 day trial of their "Canva plus" version. I used this to edit one of their pre-made dinosaur birthday invitations. Sooo super easy and super cute too!

As I mentioned above, I had saved basically all of the dinosaur decorations from my oldest son's failed 4th birthday party. It made it really easy to set everything up! I did end up buy more plates and plasticwear because we used them before moving out of state.

The food tags are from Etsy and the wooden serving dishes are from Target. Didn't it turn out to be so cute?? Gotta love easy finger foods for kid's parties! It was also fun using some of the hundreds of dinosaurs we have lying around as decorations.

I don't have any pictures, but we played games that included a dinosaur scavenger hunt, dinosaur foot races, and making dinosaur sticker pictures. It was a bit chaotic, so mostly we just let the kids run and play between eating and games.

My husband made the coolest volcano cake! I baked three separate round cakes and then let him at 'em to decorate. He left a space in the top to put a kid's cup filled with dry ice to create that bubbly lava look. He also thought he was pretty funny putting the skeleton dinosaurs "underground".

Super simple, but super fun! We love our three rex!
